The last several years has seen Arlington grow like crazy! From the addition of the Dallas Cowboy’s stadium, a new Rangers ballpark, tons of restaurants and more, Arlington has become one of the most popular destinations in the metroplex with many things to do in Arlington Tx.

The downtown area of Arlington has added some cool new places and still has some classics to revisit. Babe’s Chicken House is a family-style restaurant that never disappoints. Definitely save some room and stop by Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery for dessert after! The Tipsy Oak has been around for a few years and has an awesome beer selection and the spicy fried pickle chips are a must! Kintaro Ramen has become a local favorite. The well-known and classic favorite Flying Fish serves up tons of seafood options and you can spend hours checking out all the photos covering the walls and admiring the Billy Bass Adoption Wall. On your way to South Arlington, Dino’s Subs is worth a visit, their pizza sub is always a hit. Istanbul Grill on S. Cooper features delicious Turkish Mediterranean plates. The Highlands at Matlock and I-20 has no shortage of restaurants, including BJ’s, Chicken Salad Chick, India Grill, Gloria’s, The Peach Cobbler Factory and Torchy’s Tacos and dozens more.

AT&T Stadium is home to the Dallas Cowboys, even if it’s the off-season, schedule a tour to see the stadium inside and out! Globe Life Field is one of the newer attractions- experience summertime baseball with the Rangers, bonus: enjoy it with A/C when the roof is closed! Close by is the entertainment district’s Texas Live! Restaurants, a literal wall of TV’s with dozens of sports, live music every night at Troy’s, and mechanical bull riding at PBR Texas are just the tip of the iceberg to explore here. Looking for a more low-key time? The Arlington Museum of Art is quiet and beautiful. Through September 24 they have an exclusive Taylor Swift, The Eras Tour Collection in addition to their permanent collection. Free Play Arcade is family-friendly and a great way to beat the summer heat, pay up front for a game card and start gaming! Retro video games, ski ball, pin ball, they have them all! If you’re the outdoorsy type, River Legacy Park has miles and miles of paved trails, mountain bike trails, canoe launch spots, pavilions, a nature resource center, and tons of kids activities. You can also enjoy summer lake days at Lake Arlington or Joe Pool Lake in neighboring Grand Prairie.
